03:58 PM ET 01.13 | New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is ready to take on Peyton Manning, yet again, when the Patriots travel to Sports Authority Field at Mile High to take on the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game. For the first time since 2006, the Patriots are set to be the underdogs in the postsesaon, and Brady is ready to embrace the underdog role as he predicts that no one will be picking his team to knock off the Broncos and earn a spot in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Fine, don't pick the Pats to win, but this is outrageous:

No tickets for die-hard Pats fans

Local fans can't buy tickets to see Tom Brady and the Patriots

DENVER, CO (WFSB) - Fans of the New England Patriots from Connecticut or Massachusetts will not be able to purchase tickets to next week's AFC Championship game.

CBS Denver reports that the Denver Broncos, whom the Pats visit Sunday, are only selling tickets to fans with valid addresses in Rocky Mountain States.

Tickets went on sale through Ticketmaster at 10 a.m. Monday.

Fans in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Montana, South Dakota and Western Kansas will be able to buy tickets.

Not on the list were all of the New England states, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island.

The Seattle Seahawks reportedly did the same thing to fans in California with regards to its upcoming match up with the San Francisco 49ers, according to CBS San Francisco.

Well... I wouldn't pick the Pats to beat Broncos either! But I certainly wouldn't pick the Broncos to beat the Pats either. IMO, this is a 'toss up' game and I definitely won't have ANY 'wagers on this game OR the Seahawks/49ers game. Thes games should end up being VERY interesting to watch.

As for the 'ticket limitations', that's total BS. Guess the 'home crowd' is getting SKEEEEERED! heh heh

I don't think Brady cares about who thinks they'll win or not, unless his Uggs are too tight.

January 13, 2014  11:27 PM ET

I like the Pats in an underdog role and I'm sure they enjoy the status as well.

I agree. I think Brady will be more focused than ever. It could go either way but I predict NE by 10.

I also predict that I will break out the good scotch for the game. Standards and all that...

I'm jumping all over the 5 point spread....by taking NE.

Not saying NE will win, but I foresee a high scoring affair. Last one with the ball wins.

No one Tom? Come on Man....DD does.

January 14, 2014  02:20 AM ET

The Pats are returning back to their 2003-04 form and the Broncos defense won't be able to stop the running game consistently. But both games are going to be very entertaining and hopefully they come down to the wire.

Good. That's how it should be every game.

Why sell out your home field advantage when you can fill every seat with your own fans?

That's the team's right if they don't want to sell tickets.

Yet nobody will be surprised if the Patriots win either. It is going to be a great game, and I think everyone will agree with that at least.

January 14, 2014  06:52 AM ET

On a totally RELATED note though, the Broncos secondary is thin with injuries. Watch them go the complete opposite from last week's assault with the running game. Gotta love how that organization is ran.

Yup Yup.

Why would they? Most of the 'geniuses' at ESPN picked the Colts.
