Why Florida's top recruit remains in limbo

07:40 AM ET 01.15 | Still, he waits. When Chris Walker enrolled at Florida in mid-December after finally meeting the NCAA's minimum academic eligibility requirements, the Gators were optimistic it wouldn't be long before the McDonalds All-American made his college debut. Turns out nearly a month has gone by without Walker donning a Florida jersey for the first time. A source with knowledge of the situation told Yahoo Sports on Tuesday that the reason for the latest delay is not academic-related and instead stems from an NCAA investigation into a pre-enrollment eligibility issue. No decision on Walker's eligibility is imminent, according to the source, even though the investigation began well before the 6-foot-9 forward was able to enroll at Florida last month.

Hope he has at least been able to practice, if not he will need even more time to get into playing shape and understand the schemes.

he's been practicing with the team and doing all releated activities minus actually playing. he was in warm-ups on the bench beside Casey Prather last night.

I see da Gatahs knocked down 6 straight tres last night to make it ugly against UGaly. That is some serious bombing right there. Of course, some nights those hot hands are icebergs so Billy has Patrick Young in the post, and can kick that into gear when necessary. Gatahs can do a lot of damage this year.

team is looking good, lacking depth is the problem and lack of outside shooting. MFIII is doing it big from beyond the arc but thats it. DFS is playing lights out, when he Young and Walker get on the court team is gonna be dangerous come March.
