Boston to blame for Seguin's rep?

07:45 AM ET 01.15 | Tyler Seguin has found a new hockey home in Dallas, and, to hear his teammates tell it, he's not the same kid who wore the spoked B in Boston. As for charges that he's not as serious about hockey as he is about hockey-related nightlife, teammate and consummate professional Shawn Horcoff has seen absolutely nothing to support them. "He goes out about half as much as I've expected a kid his age to," said the [Horcoff]. ... "I haven't seen a single thing that warrants any of the stuff that was written about him when he was in Boston. I don't know, maybe he did want to come here and want to change a little bit, but the kid was 20 years old, he had a Stanley Cup, he signed a big deal ... In a lot of ways I blame the organization for not helping squash that. But that's in the past for him, he's become outstanding."

Seguin was a mess in Boston. He was a God, partied like a 19 year old kid, and loved himself the Boston women.. In Dallas, he is not a God, he's 21 now and most people don't know who he is

Nothing like a trade to wake a kid up. Hope he keeps going the way he has for his sake and Otis' sake too.

By the way, has anyone noticed that Boston is 5 - 5- 0 in their last ten games and are now tied with Tampa?

Shawn Horcoff: "He goes out about half as much as I've expected a kid his age to,"

Well ... it's not much fun going out into the cold prairie at night.

I think the Oilers need to make a dozen of those trades. Hell! With few exceptions, the whole team is sleep-walking through another season and needs a rude awakening! Being perennial cellar dwellers obviously doesn't bother them that much.

Obviously chick-wrestling is a lot more fun than steer-wrestling.

Boston didnt need Seguin plain and simple. Since when does a team making the playoffs have the #2 pick in the draft? Only Toronto that stupid. We got Louie and Riley Smith. Not to mention Fraser and Morrow. We did fine on this trade. DEPTH. Check Seguin stats. He scores a lot when sober then takes 4 or 5 games off. PLEASE! Dallas wont make the playoffs.

I'd have to check the stats to see if they support what I think, but my memory says the Bruins take the month of January off on a regular basis. Losing Seidenberg is also making a mess of the defensive pairings, not sure how much longer Chiarelli is going to wait before making a move.Anyways, congratulations to the Maple Leafs for winning the Stanley Cup last night.

Bruins=Overrated. If they were in the West they would be fighting for a playoff spot.

Pens tend to take February off, so I'm bracing myself already.
