07:27 AM ET 01.16 | The Antonio Cromartie era in New York may be coming to a close. Cromartie admitted he expects to be a cap casualty this offseason. "I think I (will be)," Cromartie said on NBC Sports Network. "Just because my cap number is very high. And I had one of the worst seasons of my career this past year." ... "I just had a bad year," Cromartie added. "That falls heavily on me and no one else." Under his current deal, Cromartie is scheduled to carry a team-high cap number of $14.98 million, according to overthecap.com. He is due a $5 million roster bonus in March, which is when the team will have to make a decision by. If he is cut, he could still return to the Jets on a cheaper deal. Does he expect to be back on the Jets? "That's the plan," Cromartie said. "I'm not guaranteeing it."

What's his name drafted last year from Alabama has no choice but to step it up if Cro is gone.

Dude was a top 10 pick.

UT-OH!!!!!

He's got enough kids to fill a school bus and if he gets cut who's gonna feed them ?

January 16, 2014  08:32 AM ET

Come to Dallas bro.. But leave the children in NY.

January 16, 2014  08:36 AM ET

Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Cromarties....

January 16, 2014  08:37 AM ET

I wonder what his child support cap hit is?

January 16, 2014  08:38 AM ET

He may want to realize that he is slowing down. He's about to turn thirty and teams are looking at his expiration date.

Dee Milliner. And he needs to step up whether Cro comes back or not. He got roasted on the field.

Doesn't matter, he'll just make more.

If Cromartie is admitting all of that then he probably wants out of New York anyway

Sad that just about any defensive back is an upgrade to what they have.

He knows that he's at least looking at another season of Rex In Charge.

And maybe the Jets will have Sanchez and Geno, too, plus another not-ready-for-prime-time rookie quarterback to be named later.

Wonder what type of post-football career he has lined up with his financial needs?

January 16, 2014  09:34 AM ET

Jail awaits his after pro life, no way he keeps up with child support.

Maybe the children can fill some of those holes in the Dallas rush defense.
