07:30 AM ET 01.16 | Derrick Rose may have been ruled out from returning to games this season, but what about practice? The Bulls aren't committing one way or the other. "Yeah, I don't want to speculate on that," coach Tom Thibodeau said Wednesday. "He's doing great. We just want him to go step by step. We'll see where he is at the end of the season. Just concentrate on the rehab. That's all we want him to do." Asked if the organization had completely ruled out that scenario, especially after Rose practiced with the team much of the second half last season while he was coming back from surgery on his left knee, Thibodeau said, "I haven't really even talked to [trainer] Fred [Tedeschi] about it. We ruled him out for the season. That's basically the way we're approaching that."

Time To Nip It In The Bud, Bro.

I hope they learn their lesson.

He should be out 4-6 months based off the procedure he had which places him back by May at the worst. Bulls are not pressuring him it will be next year. He probably will practice though

if he does, then that means his teammates -again- and not him will have to answer questions about how he looks in practice. And, if he loooks good, then answer questions on if they think he should play.....that is if they are in the playoff picture.....not fair to his teammates......imo

while he sits out in a suit and avoids these questions........

Hopefully they handle the lines of questioning better this time around.

Very doubtful - Some of these team's PR guys are a walking contradiction when it comes down to player health.

What lesson is that?

January 16, 2014  03:30 PM ET

Rose is not coming back this season play- offs included. The Bulls have already put that issue down.

January 16, 2014  03:47 PM ET

Please! Rose is done.

Time to rebuild and look beyond Rose. Dump salary. If he doesn't like it dump him as well. He isn't worth the salary.

QUOTE(#15):

What??? He is their franchise player. They need to be loyal to him and support him while during this painful process while he gets back to full health!!

Please! He is so fragile it isn't even funny. It's a sad thing, but he will never be important again over a period of time.
