07:43 AM ET 01.16 | Former Devils and Red Wings defenseman Brian Rafalski returned to life as a professional hockey player this past Friday -- and the assumption by many was that an NHL comeback was on his mind. [Rafalski] insists it was a much higher calling that brought him back to the ice. "God led me this way, in this direction and I'm just walking in and trying to follow in his will," Rafalski said. ... [Rafalski] insisted getting ready to play in the Detroit-Toronto Maple Leafs alumni game last month at Comerica Park didn't play a role in sparking his desire for a comeback. "No, it was way before that," Rafalski said. "It had nothing to do with the alumni game." He isn't even certain whether another shot at the NHL is his end goal at this point in the process. "I don't know," Rafalski said. "It's not what I want."

Wrong movie. Isn't that what Kane was checking Bickell for in the other story?
