Schneider admits he went negative

07:44 AM ET 01.16 | Since the end of December, Cory Schneider has rediscovered his game and the No. 1 job in New Jersey, which isn't to say he saw it coming. Negativity had started to sneak into [Schneider's] mind. When he wasn't winning, allowing an untimely goal here and there, and then sitting out a succession of games in late November, it began to wear on him. "I'm generally not a negative person. And there was no negativity coming from the team and the guys," Schneider told The Star-Ledger Wednesday. "But sometimes you do get into a negative place where you get upset more easily and get irritated more easily. Maybe you should channel that into working harder and being positive and trying to fix the mistakes rather than getting annoyed at them."

I'm sure Brodeur's 29 saves last game isn't going to help! Schneider could be in for a rough game if he is playing against the Avs tonight.

It just seemed inevitable that a Cory Schneider thread would quickly lead to a clip of Joe **** live in concert, right? Haha, okay, maybe not, but thanks for that, good to see Joe again, been awhile.

Tough to play well with that Hall Of Famer sitting nearby, watching your every move.

I prefer You Can Leave Your Hat On, especially when it's accompanied by Kim Basinger doing a nice little dance like in 9 1/2 weeks.....

The thing is he has played extraordinarily well. 1.96 GAA, .921 SV% and 3 out of his seven wins are shutouts. He is just not getting any scoring support.

This guy is just 'way too nice - he needs to cuss out the press every chance he gets, especially now - he shoulda been blowing off the scribes since back in his Manitoba Moose days - enuff of this flower-power, sweet as sugar, goaltender stuff.- " Beat it - You're bugging me -Wot did you ever play - Go bang on a type-writer, monkey-boy" - that's goalie talk.
