Bucks' Butler irked by hometown role

07:34 AM ET 01.17 | On the one hand, Caron Butler welcomed the chance return home to play in Wisconsin. But the 33-year-old veteran and Racine native is not thrilled with a backup role as he plays both at small forward and power forward. Rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo has been starting at small forward or shooting guard, and second-year player Khris Middleton has started 25 games at small forward. That has left Butler on the bench with uncertain playing time each night. Butler said after practice Thursday he will continue to assess the situation as the season progresses. And he made it clear he wants to play in the NBA several more years following this season, when his contract ($8 million this year) expires. "The information I received before coming here is that 'You're going to play a lot,'" Butler said. "And I want to play."

Wait......
There is an NBA team in Milwaukee?

You chose the place or did he get traded there for Redick? CB is done. He could be helping the Heat next year as a backup.

Butler was traded to Phoenix first then he was traded from Phoenix to the Bucks. Once they were not winning they went to development mode. The Greek Freak needs minutes but it sounds like Caron was promised something but the focus changed once the lossses were pilling up.
