04:55 PM ET 01.17 | The Cleveland Browns have had their eyes on Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase since firing head coach Rob Chudzinski, but they have been unable to meet with their top candidate as he continues his playoff run in Denver. Without interviewing Gase, the Browns' coaching search is on hold and they run the risk of turning off the few candidates that they do have. While some coaches who were considering the Browns job may be growing tired with the waiting game that the Browns are playing, Broncos executive John Elway is happy to see his coordinator staying dedicated to the team and focusing on their current mission.

Right now, being Peyton Manning's OC is probably one of the best gigs in the league.

I hate to say if but as a Browns fan you are right. This franchise still has no direction.

He has put video game type numbers over the past 2 years. 10,000+ passing yards & 90+ TD's during the regular season. But he needs to take care of business this post season.

It would be a bit like going from First Officer on a B747 to Captain on a Cessena 150!

Don't!

I beg to differ. Zimmer was also a solid hire.
