08:30 AM ET 01.18 | The Dodgers were one of nine teams in attendance Wednesday when former Angel Chone Figgins worked out near his home in Tampa, Fla. Dodgers vice president for player personnel Vance Lovelace was among those watching Figgins run, throw and hit. Dodgers GM Ned Colletti said there is "a curiosity" about what Figgins, 35, might have to offer. The Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays (managed by Joe Maddon, who has a history with Figgins from his own days with the Angels) have expressed interest.

I didn't even know he was out of baseball. I figured he signed with a small market National League team, never to be heard from again.

QUOTE(#3):

All Chone needs to do is sign with a team that will sandwich him between two guys with high batting averages and OBPs and he'll regain his 2009 form. They just better remember to keep him there.

when Figgins did played for the halos,he did played in a different position,as a second basemen, third basemen,Outfielderbut he got lost one's he move away from the halos organization!!

think Figgins could rebound with either one of this two organizations??sure why not?the Rays have in Maddon a great manager and he could be of a great help for Figgins struggle at the field and the outfield, lets not forget Maddon and Figgins use to be in the angels Organization too!!

He will be 36 when spring training starts. If you are looking for the 25th man to fill your roster, then sign Chone to a minor league contract with nothing to lose.
