08:59 AM ET 01.19 | Trade rumors began during Dwight Howard's tenure with the Magic and continued last season as it become apparent his addition to the Lakers was not going to put them on the path to championship contention and since he could leave as an unrestricted free agent after the season. Howard had been linked to teams across the league, noise that got to him as the deadline grew closer. Even as the trade deadline came and went, speculation surrounding Howard never completely ceased. In the summer of 2012, reports emerged that Howard requested a trade from the Magic. Unlike midseason when he didn't know what would happen, Howard believed his next move was clear. "I thought the Brooklyn thing was going to come through at the end of the season," Howard said of a potential trade to the Nets. "It was something that was promised, but it didn't happen. Once it didn't happen I figured everything happens for a reason. I just let it go. I was upset for a while, but I just let it go."

He should know by now.. don't believe everything you hear in the NBA

Be grateful you are in Houston and have a good young team. I don't think Brooklyn is such great place to be right now.

If you let it go why are you still talking about it?

This guy is a major crybaby, every year we have to hear these D. Howard trade me stories. Sad

I don't blame him for hating LA but Houston has a good team...

I think they should trade your butt off to Dennis Rodman's team in North Korea, it sure would work out for the fans who wouldn't have to hear your sorry self again. See hoa the chairman deals with malcontents

If you really let go Howard, you'd just say "Next question please". Obviously, some part of this still sticks in his craw. I like Howard as a player, he can be immature but there could be worse problems to have. I think it all worked out for him in the end anyway.

He's still whining?

Their young Power Forward Terrence Jones is turning in some impressive games at times. Last night he had 36 pts, 11 rbs and 2 blks.

With Beverley coming back Houston should have a good second half of their season.

Too bad that mouth keeps running. So much talent being overshadowed by being a malcontent.

This is exactly why Cryward will never be a leader. It doesn't matter how many rebounds you grab, when you are mentally weak, you cannot lead.

Be grateful for what you have! You are blessed with an opportunity that very few have! **** up and quit being a crybaby pansy and do your job.

Step up and take responsibility and be a leader if you have it in you!

If not! Then shut the heII up and continue to be the pouting follower you have shown to be so far! You will never be the champion Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Shaq, Kareem, ect... are!

Most over rated player currently in the NBA. The Rockets area a fifth seed going nowhere when the playoffs start.

A promise in the NBA that is not on paper, is like taking a leak toward the wind... Both will get you wet...
