09:46 AM ET 01.19 | Retired basketball star Dennis Rodman has checked himself into an alcohol treatment program, his spokesman said Saturday, just days after returning to the United States from North Korea, where he ignited a furor over comments he made about an American citizen held prisoner there. Rodman voluntarily entered an alcohol rehabilitation facility several days ago, according to agent Darren Prince. The location of the facility was not disclosed. Rodman returned to the United States this week after a trip to North Korea where he attended the birthday party of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

It may be a few weeks too late, but at least he's getting help after embarrassing himself and the USA.

I didn't get that either. He wasn't there as a representative of the USA.

He did embarrass the other players though. His live interview from Korea was cringeworthy.

I finally got a chance to watch Frontline's documentary about North Korea on my PVR. I've been to Brazil and seen poverty with children living on the streets but nothing prepared to see poor 8 year old kid abandoned by his mother because she couldn't afford to feed him. If there is a county that needs it's people liberated it's North Korea.

Iraq was invaded for all the wrong reasons.

Hope there are a few vets in there that throw him an old fashion blanket party.

Can't the United States just trade him out-right to North Korea??

Seems like the South Koreans would have done it by now.

I doubt the USA will do it. The government is being manipulated into a conflict with Iran right now.

I thought your guys were about to blow out the Lakers but they let them back into the game as the half approached.

I know. The Lakers will fold in the second half. It's too early for them
