07:26 AM ET 01.21 | Despite all the speculation from sea to shining sea, Rajon Rondo may not be going anywhere, after all. It sounds more and more like with [Rondo's] return and a ceremonial bestowing of captaincy the Celtics plan to keep Rondo and try to get him to extend. It makes sense given the importance of point guards. More executives think the Celtics want to trade Jeff Green. They're probably trying to persuade someone to take Gerald Wallace along with Green, though many figure they'll eventually move Green. A nice exchange could be for Omer Asik, giving the Celtics a point guard/defensive center core to move forward with along with Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk. And Houston could use Green as a stretch four scorer.

Watch all of them get traded by trade deadline...

Green could be a real nice piece for someone.

Still not sure why Boston would want an expensive center that is pretty useless on offense back- they could do better since they aren't competing any time soon
I think it would be a good trade for Houston

It's a Celtic connection. Time to give the favor back to McHale.

Good move for both teams. This trade fits both teams plans. Asik only has one year remaining after this year.

Houston would be better of getting a 'gift' of Rondo from Boston. He would seriously upgrade the PG position. They get him and the West is Houston's for the taking.

I can't read "Jeff Green" without thinking "Kendrick Perkins".
