07:39 AM ET 01.21 | Already, the Canucks have lightened the mood in the wake of John Tortorella's 15-day, six-game suspension, which will leave Mike Sullivan at the helm with the help of fellow assistant Glen Gulutzan. The players think the transition to Sullivan calling the shots will be a seamless one. "They are all on the same page, they all know what they are doing," said defenceman Kevin Bieksa. "Sully has been a head coach in the league before and he knows what it's like to be the big cheese behind the bench. He'll probably wear a little bit nicer suit to the game, one that fits, and a nicer tie. And maybe Gully will comb his hair different." ... "They see the game the same way," winger Alex Burrows said of Sullivan and Tortorella. "I think Sully is a little bit more rational, more laid back a little bit than Torts."

The only thing I'm disappointed with is that no took the opportunity give Torts the shot in the mouth he deserves. Guaranteed a bunch of his former players would have chipped in to cover whatever the fine for that would have been.

That's okay as long as they don't mess around with the brake lines.

Sounds like a Food Network program, 'Fun with Torts.'

Took me a little bit to figure out what he was talking about. He's just too darn witty for me today.

Reading this mornings paper it seems a lot of Yotes players kind of side with Torts, figuring he was protecting his front line players when the 4th line was sent out to start the game against them including McGratten.

Torts, Sully and Gully! Hockey players give/have the dumbest nicknames.

Nobody is upset about Torts' lineup. Most coaches, if not all (*cough* Randy *cough*) would've done the same. It's the dressing room dumbness that has him in hot water. And rightfully so, because he just looked like an idiot. Had he somehow managed to gain entry into the room, every Flames player would take turns beating him to a pulp.

Now Torts has 15 games to think about it. After he settled down I bet he felt foolish.

Sometime before the season is over, some team will start its 4th line open a game against the Vanucks.

Arent we glossing something over? As much as this league tries to push in one direction, things keep regressing. Maybe we should stop polishing the brass door knocker thinking its gold.

15 days, only 6 games. Not nearly enough for the Grinch's heart to grow three sizes.

On a related note, can someone explain to me where the nickname "three fingers" comes from?

Still say it was calculated. Not accidental.

He knew exactly what he was doing.

Team was dead and needed a shot in the arm.
