07:40 AM ET 01.21 | While Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman has never been shy in pulling the trade trigger, is there a move worth making while the club is playing so well? Sun-Times Blackhawks reporter Mark Lazerus joined SportsNet Central on Monday and said he wouldn't be surprised to see the Hawks make a deal following next month's Olympic break. "I think just like last year (Bowman will) be in the market for a center. I don't know if it will be quote-unquote a second-line center, but they do need some depth down at the middle," Lazerus told CSN's Pat Boyle. "They got (Michal) Handzus last year, and it turned into gold. They need to find someone like that, who doesn't cost a lot of money. They probably have to move a roster player if they want to bring in a guy that has any salary at all."

Wake me up when all four Blackhawks starting centers are on the shelf with injuries at the same time.

If the Olympics could kill one team, it might be the Hawks. St. Louis faces a similar predicament.

NYR have 7 guys going and the team is riding a [pretty good streak right now. I hopethis doesn't kill the momentum and the season,
man I hate the pros going to these things

I'm pretty sure this is the last time that you'll have to put up with this.

The Penguins have the same record as the rags over the last 10 games, but the Pens are not playing well at all. Getting manhandled at home by the Panthers is embarrassing. Niskannin should be tied across the goal and have people take slap shots at him.

Call the Stars. They're pretty much done for the season.

That is a pretty big number.Hell, given how thin the Leafs are, just having Kessel and JVR go is like risking 5 guys.

No worries Danny. Kessel should be able to avoid all contact on the big ice.

Yeah wtf happened last night?!

I'm trying to figure that one out myself. Nobody was playing their position, nobody was skating, and Fluery made some decent saves, but really didn't do much either. Niskannin was the first star of the game for the Panthers.

Man I couldn't have said it better. But with all the injuries they still have time to get healthy and make a run. Howard went out in the 2nd with a sore knee, also.

On his way to another great 9 goal season:)

The Oilers have two going to the Lympics. Belov and Hemsky, I don't want to see them get hurt badly just enough to shelve them for the rest of the season.
With all the terrorist threats going on I'm not sure the Pros are thrilled about going.

You sure about the record being snapped, because all we have to wait for is the Leaf to fall:) Stubborn cusses this year though.
