04:05 PM ET 01.22 | With CBS and FOX dominating Sunday afternoons, NBC owning Sunday night and ESPN the home of Monday Night Football, the NFL wants to expand Thursday night games beyond just their own NFL Network and are accepting bids from other networks for package rights. According to The Wall Street Journal, ABC, TNT and TBS are among networks that have entered or are expected to enter bids for games that the NFL is offering on Thursday, Saturday and possibly even Sunday. All of the networks have a history with the NFL, as ABC was the traditional home of Monday Night Football for decades, while Turner is starting to carve out a home in the sports market with their recent expansion.

Yup.

As long as it doesn't say UCLA or Notre Dame........ etc. I'm in.

It's similar to a bumper sticker up here I see regarding fishing (which I also don't do): The worst day ever fishing is better than the best day ever at work.

I watch enough without watching a bunch of kids. You'll find me consistent though, I say similarly about hockey.

I really-REALLY HOPE ABC gets the bid over the crappy cable channels... Us cord cutters always have to find an "alternative means" to watch Sports on CRAP cable.. Don't get me wrong, it's not that hard.. I may even watch a COMMERCIAL or two on the ABC Network.

;)

I wish the 49ers had their own channel for one reason only. So I never have to listen to another broadcast by Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.

Nobody gives a shiite about NCAA football.

Maybe you don't, but the ratings don't back that up statement.

Buck and Aikman aren't bad.But a lot of FN posters hate their guts.

Aikman has gotten a bit better.

Joe Buck is an ingratiating jerk. Nepotism force-fed to us for national games.

I don't understand the hate for Joe Buck. He's one of the better announcers out there.

I can't think of an NFL announcer who fans actually like. All I ever hear is whining and complaining.

To me, he just reeks "schmuck". He's like an irritating brother-in-law calling the game from your living room. I'll take him over Nance, though.
