07:44 AM ET 01.23 | Sitting behind a Heisman winner in Jameis Winston isn't a great place to be for career progression, and it seems 6-foot-5, 230-pound Jacob Coker is up for a chance of scenery -- with speculation rampant he's headed to Alabama. The former high school teammate of AJ McCarron is expected to visit Tuscaloosa in the "near future," his high school coach Steve Mask told AL.com. An expected May graduation would make the redshirt sophomore eligible to transfer immediately. ... Winston is impressed with his physical abilities. "Jacob is the only person I know that can throw off one leg better than anyone else," Winston said in California. "When you see him at practice, he loves to throw and he just had surgery on his knee. ... Me personally I think Jacob can go anywhere and start in any program."

You mean JaMarcus the Rhodes Scholar? Doesn't he know ya gotta kick the darn thing through the uprights to score? And what self-respecting receiver is gonna stand on the crossbar to try and catch a pass? Isn't that out of bounds? And if he is sitting, wouldn't the ref rule the play dead? And how come he's sitting in the first place? He slug too much purple drank and can't stand up?

smh

Well that's good to hear, that a starting QB with one season under his belt, is such a good talent evaluator, That he thinks his back up can go anywhere and play. What else was he going to say? Yeah my back up sucks and will only start in 5 other schools in the country?

You may not like what Jameis had to say, but he's not wrong in his assessment.

No doubt that his money manager guys were major leaches on that cashola. Almost always are. It's really a lot of work to blow all that without somebody helping the process along from the inside while the cash cow isn't looking.
