07:28 AM ET 01.24 | Maybe John Wall wasn't in the mood to revisit Wednesday night's OT loss to the Celtics. [But] he was called to the principal's office Thursday before the Wizards left for a four-game West coast trip that begins Friday at the Phoenix Suns (CSN+, 9 p.m. ET). Wall took 29 shots in the 113-111 defeat at Verizon Center. That's 13 more than Bradley Beal, 21 more than Trevor Ariza and Marcin Gortat, 15 more than Nene and 20 more than Martell Webster. Coach Randy Wittman had a sitdown with Wall and went over the video. "John's a competitor. I sat down and talked with him," Wittman said. "It's not a malicious thing. He wanted to try to take over the game for us. Sometimes you try so hard it's counterproductive because he's the one guy that can get a lot of guys shots."

The Wiz wasted all their cheese on Wall, he hasn't proven that he earned the extension he signed this season. Washington will be in the lottery for years to come.

Walls good, he's just a bit selfish at times..... trying too hard to earn himself recognition as an elite player.

Wall = BUST

Wall = BUST

20.2 ppg 8.5 apg 4.3 rpg 42.5% fg 83.9% FT and he is only 23, I wouldn't call that a bust. Worth the max deal? Probably not, but he is definitely trying too hard to earn that elite title. Once he trusts he teammates a little more you will see Wall and the Wizards begin to reach their potential.

Come on. Considering what was expected and what he actually is, the guy is surely bust. Knowing what we know now, would you pick him #1 overall? I rest my case.
