09:26 AM ET 01.25 | A day after losing out on Grant Balfour, the Mets are involved in talks for another high-end, free-agent closer -- Fernando Rodney. Rodney, known for celebrating his saves with an arrow-shooting pose, is a 36-year-old righthander who had 37 saves and a 3.38 ERA for the Rays last season. The talks were first reported by ESPNNewYork.com. A baseball official with knowledge of the discussions confirmed them to the Daily News. The Orioles have also been linked to Rodney in media reports this winter.
