Miami's Wallace: I should have had 15 or 20 more TDs

07:24 AM ET 01.27 | Still early in his career, Miami's Ryan Tannehill has struggled with accuracy on his deep throws. Even if you give him credit for his five deep balls that were dropped, which Pro Football Focus does, he was accurate on just 32.8 percent of passes thrown 20 yards or more and completed 25 percent of them (16 for 64) -- better than only Joe Flacco among qualifiers. Mike Wallace knows this lack of chemistry simply cannot happen again in 2014. And Wallace also knows this: They need to get together in February. And March. And every month before training camp. ... "We have to," Wallace said. "Definitely have got to get the deep ball going. That's the difference between winning and losing a couple games. I should have had 15 or 20 more touchdowns. And that's being modest. If you press me, you have no shot to cover me."

more from the corner of - it's not about the team but about ME!!!

I used to really like this guy, but he really is all about himself, good riddance. BTW Mike, you should follow Santonio Holmes career after he left the Steelers.

January 27, 2014  08:05 AM ET

If you had sign with a better team who has a better QB instead of going for the most money Mike you might have caught 15 or 20 more TD's.

Maybe Big Ben should be getting a commission from your salary. Without him, you'd have had numbers like you had this year.

January 27, 2014  08:21 AM ET

He probably dropped half of those TD's he should have had.

January 27, 2014  08:24 AM ET

15 or 20 more touchdowns in his career?

Dream on Mike..........

Well this sort of why the Dolphins suck, they have no talent evaluators. They never asked why an organization like the Steelers wouldn't want to sign a 26 year old sub 4.3 speed WR to a long term contract? Maybe Tannehill could improve but Wallace is awful at running routes and has inconsistent hands. Oh, and he can't block either. Seems like you could get a guy to run fly routes all day long for a lot less than $12M/yr. Pittsburgh did for $2.75M, then let Wallace go in FA.

Who turned this idiot loose? Is he the present day Keyshown? Just give me the damm ball. Have patience with the QB, you knew he was young and raw when you sign up and most importainly, sign your checks. It's not like you're going to get paid less

Interesting how everybody had that scouting report, except for the Fins.

They do seem analogous.

Does anyone still wonder why the Steelers didn't want him anymore?

How did those talent advisors miss on Jarvis Jones over there in Pittsburg....it's not an exact science
