07:26 AM ET 01.27 | On a day when Richard Sherman went the subdued route, Doug Baldwin had plenty to say -- including about his teammate. (On Sherman's transition to defensive back in college) "To be honest, when he first switched over he was awful, he was terrible. He couldn't backpedal, he couldn't track the ball, and he didn't really try to quick jam, because he would get lost at the line of scrimmage. We had wonderful coaches at Stanford, they kind of honed in his skills, made him focus more on the details and then when he got here he kind of blossomed into amazing defensive back that he is now. He never in his mind had doubt that he would be one of the greatest, he's always said that he was going to be one of the greatest whether he was going to be a receiver or a defensive back."

We saw the best cornerback last night in the ProBowl. Enough about Sherman. One interview outburst and 2 weeks of blather. Really?

Apparently not, because the Pro Bowl is not real football

I watched the Grammys and "True Detectives".

Normally avoid the Grammys but last night was actually good.

Ok, my point is that I hadn't seen Patrick Peterson play before. For a lot of good reasons, I missed seeing the Cards play this season. But Patrick is a real good reason to change my viewing habits this year. He may be as good as Deion.

January 27, 2014  09:44 AM ET

Baldwin " Yeah Sherman wasn't very good until he talked to my pharmacist"

January 27, 2014  09:44 AM ET

He's no longer terrible!!!

He's damn good. Every argument can be made that he is better than Sherman. I poke my head in on Cardinal games via Sunday Ticket and he's worth keeing an eye on. One thing I like about both of them is that they enjoy the physical aspects of the game along with being as good as there is in coverage.

I see them both more along the lines of a young Rod Woodson.

Charles Woodson was the best I ever saw.

And he did win the Heisman. But the jury is still out. Peterson has lots of seasons to change your mind.
