07:37 AM ET 01.27 | In the case of LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, behind the smoke there is no fire -- at least not at this time. [Cameron] told NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune he is not a candidate for the same position with the Cleveland Browns. Cameron confirmed that the Browns showed interest in hiring him during the past week. "I don't plan on going anywhere soon," Cameron, 52, told NOLA.com recruiting analyst James Smith. "I don't want to uproot my family right now." Cameron and his wife, Missy, have four children, high school age and younger. LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette tweeted that he spoke to Cameron, who told him "he's not going anywhere & that he plans on being with @lsufball for a long time." LSU coach Les Miles could not be reached for comment.

Reading between the lines here, but could it have to do with the fact that LSU has better players than Cleveland?

Hmmm. Baton Rouge and a perenial top-10 program or....Cleveland.

Fun facts: In the 1970s, a carpet maker in Dalton, GA advertised that its on hand inventory was enough to cover the entire city of Cleveland (Thank goodness). It went viral before there was an InterWeb.

And job security... plus he is getting paid big $$$$

Cameron: "I don't want to uproot my family............right now." Hmmm.

No reading between the lines or translation of negotiation speak required. Cameron's family is happy in Baton Rouge and he's happy with the gig he's got.

It's a matter of job security. There is none in the NFL, especially in regard to working for the Browns in any coaching capacity.

True, there is no job security in the NFL. Especially if you can't coach at that level.
