Top QB leaning toward OSU?

Bad news for Penn State: Terrelle Pryor was at Ohio State yesterday even though he's yet to schedule an official visit to Happy Valley. Pryor, the No. 1-ranked high school quarterback from Jeannette, Pa., made news earlier this month when he delayed his college decision on national signing day. He was set to sign with the Buckeyes but chose to extend the process because he wanted to visit with the Nittany Lions. However, because he is still playing basketball, a trip to State College has been delayed. And yet, there Pryor was at the Ohio State-Wisconsin basketball game in Columbus yesterday, one day after leading the Jayhawks to the WPIAL Class AA championship.

This kid better be as good as he is hyped...

It's the end of February and he has 4 different schools on his consideration list. I'm not sure if i'd want such an indecisive player running my offense.

He lives in Pennsylvania and he's going to be playing his basketball championship game @ Penn State. He has been there many times.

please just stop messing around. the jokes over. when are you just going to sign with osu? you are just giving other people hope, and we all know you want to win the bcs championship and osu will get you there.

I love JoePa but if we continue to lose top in-state talent to Ohio State (Pitt this year too), we need changes at Penn State.

February 25, 2008  08:48 AM ET

go Bucks!

February 25, 2008  09:07 AM ET

I hope Terrell does like that kid from California that played a hoax.

This is what I see happening:

At the press conference on April 1st, Terrell will have four hats: an Oregon hat, a Michigan hat, a Penn State hat, and an Ohio State hat sitting on a table in front of him, with lights flashing.

He'll have them lined up. Then, while everybody is holding their breath(especially Rich Rodriguez), he's going to reach for the Michigan hat, pick it up, start to bring it towards his head, when....he puts it back down, and picks up the scarlet hat with the block "O" on it, and puts it on his head!

Then he'll say, "I'M A BUCKEYE!"

Next thing yoy know this kid will be running for "President of the World". The media is as much at fault as this kid is in this ongoing soap opera!

February 25, 2008  10:00 AM ET

I am really surprised the Michigan faithful are not here yet crying foul?? Where are you Biminator?

Terrell=======Buckeyes

February 25, 2008  10:39 AM ET

must be an NCAA recruitment rules infraction there somewhere -- oh wait, they like these guys.

February 25, 2008  10:54 AM ET

Please, commit to OSU already.

February 25, 2008  10:58 AM ET

I don't care where the kid goes. At least 1/2 of these "can't miss" high school recruits end up being busts. He may end up being great. He may not. Some guy no one has ever heard of will probably end up being much better. It's the same story every year.

Remember Xavier Lee?

February 25, 2008  11:04 AM ET

*sigh* how long ago was signing day?

February 25, 2008  11:48 AM ET

Dude mich fans arent crying because this guy is gonna be the next Xavier Lee down at florida state. Mich fans are more bummed on losing Nick Perry to USC than losing this guy.

February 25, 2008  12:18 PM ET

Not really saying anything here. TP has been leaning towards OSU for several months. That seems to be where he wants to go. It is also the best situation for him.

PSU would no doubt give the Buckeyes a real run for him if they announced that Tom Bradley is the definite replacement for Joepa. He may still end up there.

February 25, 2008  12:23 PM ET

Yes, he can come here and lose a championship game for us to:)

February 25, 2008  01:09 PM ET

As a Noles fan I have to somewhat defend "X." He was never really given the reins to do what he does best and that's make plays. The offense he was given was basic and didn't display his real talents. He is now working out and getting ready to showcase his cannon arm and outstanding speed for pro scouts. I still think you will see him play on Sundays.
