03:56 PM ET 01.27 | The Minnesota Vikings have officially announced their bid to host the Super Bowl in four years. The new stadium the team is building in downtown Minneapolis is going to be finished in time for Super Bowl LII which means the team and the state are working together to land the big game. Unlike the Super Bowl this year, the game would be played in a cold weather state but take place indoors. The Vikings' new stadium will be basically a glass warehouse that may end up giving the Super Bowl a unique visual effect while also keeping everyone out of the freezing temperatures.

I'd like to see Minneapolis get it. They pulled it off before.

Realistically, they should just alternate between San Diego and Miami. That way, there's no chance of a team playing the SB in their home stadium.

um keep superbowl in the south plz unless they have a cover

How about you just don't go to the Super Bowl?

Afraid your little Texas weewee will shrink too much in the cold?

Football is played outdoors in the weather.

Only sissy nancyboys **** about the weather during football.

I thought the Vikings got this years Super Bowl in New York, it's cold here!!!!!!

The SB should rotate between Florida (rotate venues there), New Orleans, Pasadena and Jerry's World.

I've always wanted to go to a SB, but even when the Steelers were in it in Detroit and only a 5 hour drive away, there was no way I was going to Detroit in February. Then again, I wouldn't go to Detroit in June either.

Cold, very cold

January 28, 2014  05:13 PM ET

Ya that will happen. Lets see it was minus 19, 15,14 the past three mornings. Wind's gusting to 55 MPH. I seriously could not see my neighbors house across the street for the blizzard. They closed the interstate highways in parts of the State. Can you imagine staning in line to get frisk in this cold. Exposed skin gets frost bite in 5 minutes. No the NFL should just pass on Minny as a bad idea.

I don't like the idea of the penultimate game of the season being played indoors.

I don't like ANY games being played indoors. Play outside, pansies.
