07:24 AM ET 01.29 | The productivity is off, but to what extent has Chris Johnson's game declined since the height of CJ2K?[Terrell Davis], a two-time Super Bowl winner, said Johnson hasn't been the same player since 2011, when he signed a four-year, $53.5 million contract extension. So is Johnson still worth banking on? "I believe he still has something in the tank," said Davis. ... "To me, it is more about his desire to want to do it. We've seen his talent, and he can still do what he wants to do. If you question anything about him it is about whether he has the desire to be great, when things are ugly. Are you willing to bang your head against the wall if the wall is not breaking down? To me, he doesn't have that. When I watch film, I don't see the effort in him. And I never, ever want to question somebody's effort."

Terrell may be a little jealous considering how short his career was from Shanahan "banging his head against the wall."

Both of his knees went but when he was out there he was the truth.

Indeed. Missed a full quarter in the SB and still ran for 150 yds. He carried that team on his shoulders. IMHO he's supplanted Jerry Kramer as the best player not in the HOF.

He was an unknown 6th round draft pick. His career was cut short, and the pounding he took is a key factor in why it was cut short, but he has 2 Super Bowl rings, a Super Bowl MVP, league MVP, and a 2K rushing season under his belt. If he played in the NFC East with those credentials, he'd be in the Hall right now.

Mike Shanahan wasn't the worst thing that happened to Terrell Davis.
