Buyers for Boyes?

07:40 AM ET 01.30 | The facts find Brad Boyes as the leading goal-scorer on a team well out of the playoff race, and he's due to become an unrestricted free agent at season's end. For all those reasons, the ex-Bruin will draw attention on the trade market prior to the March 5 deadline. Boyes, who has been riding with Sean Bergenheim and Scott Gomez, is with his sixth NHL organization. Boyes's experience and offensive touch would be an asset for a playoff team searching for offense on the right side. ... The Panthers invited Boyes to camp and they signed him to a one-year, $1 million deal on Sept. 28. He had been a healthy scratch for the Panthers' last visit to Boston on Nov. 7. The next day, the Panthers fired coach Kevin Dineen.

don't get the rental thingy...don't even know if he's worth too much. If a guy has been on that many teams, I always wonder where the problem lies

One of our few "bright" spots this year along with Barkov....

Can we just end the season and start the spending spree!?

Brad Boyes, Brad Boyes, what ya gonna do?
What ya gonna do when they don't come for you?

For your sake I hope they start spending, but I doubt that they will.

Put a shirt on and it'll probably go away. :)

My boy, for his birthday in Dec., got a police car with noise buttons, one of them being a knock-off version of that song. So welcome to the party BG, I've had it in my head off and on for two months!

Nice. I'll just put on this white tank top, Wifebeater brand, and that should take care of it.

I heard the new Panthers ownership is willing to spend in the off-season and like you I really hope they do if for no other reason than their long-suffering fans. If they still have any left.

Did not even remember that Boyes played for Boston.

Evidently Dineen did too... much to his regret.

Secondary evacuation from Katrina, I was driving from FL to KC. Got stopped by cops in Mississippi (always heard the nicest things about them right?). Had my car packed to the gills with clothes, CDs, cooler (with food AND beer), dog, et al. Couple of bad things: One, I have bad allergies/sinues, so I used to take two Sudafed a day; just before I left my mom went to the military PX and bought me like twelve boxes of them (cops told me you're really only supposed to have like 4 boxes max). Two, I was managing parking garages at the time and had the petty cash in the trunk, all small bills. Didn't look good for me. Luckily I was wearing a regular tshirt and shoes at the time.

The last time they did, they won the division and nearly took out the Devils.

Yes, from what I saw - apparently Vinny Viola gave Dale Tallon the greenlight to spend up to the cap next season. Now, we wait to see what actually happens.
