07:23 AM ET 01.31 | The Los Angeles Rams, Part II? The owner of the St. Louis Rams has bought a large piece of land in Inglewood that potentially could be used for an NFL stadium, multiple individuals with knowledge of the transaction have told The Times. Within the last month, billionaire Stan Kroenke bought a 60-acre parking lot located between the Forum and Hollywood Park, according to individuals who spoke on condition of anonymity. ... Although relocating a franchise would be fraught with challenges, and the L.A. market repeatedly has been used as leverage to get stadium deals done in other cities, this is the first time an NFL owner has bought a piece of land in the L.A. area capable of accommodating a stadium. The Rams have been unable to work out a stadium deal in St. Louis.

The only reason the man wants to move his franchise is to own everything because there is nothing wrong with the Dome in St. Louis, nice place to watch an NFL game.

Wonder what ol' Anchutz thinks about all this?

Dude buys and sells land for a living so this could be completely unrelated. If it is for leverage let him go to LA, 3 teams (Chargers, Rams, Raiders) tried and failed, although to be fair, the L.A. Coliseum is a massive dump close to the ghetto.

San Antonio would be a good city for an NFL team.

If he wants a stadium, then get a group of investors together and build it. Stadiums are not the Taxpayers problem. This ncrap has got to stop.

What ever happened to the NFL's Stadium fund??

Indeed. But it may be just enough to scare St Louis into giving him a new stadium.

The stadium doesn't pay the full cost, it just offsets the costs a bit. Because billionaires shouldn't have to foot the whole bill themselves you know. That's why they are billionaires and we are here at work commenting on internet sites about them .

What's the difference, nobody is going to show up!!!!
