10:56 AM ET 02.02 | The Diamondbacks are the latest team to kick the tires on Bronson Arroyo. What's holding things up, according to a major league source, is the vesting option and/or third year he's been asking for. It appears a straight two-year deal might be beneficial in getting it done. The Dodgers are very interested but don't want a third year.

i guess nobody want any serious business lately,,,but can we blame them??after all this guy has aged well and three years its a little offline,he was good while with the reds but there is very little guaratee in his duration as a starter!!!

Your brotherhood reports in two weeks Bronson to camp, so it looks like if you are going to get paid this year and we all know you need the money. I think it would be in your best interest to drop one or more of the years you are demanded in a new contact to get on the payroll this year.

Just doesn't have the stuff to wow teams into a long term contract, but signing him for a 3rd year with incentive based bonus money wouldn't be a horrible investment. He doesn't put much strain on his pitching elbow, it's reasonable to expect him to be pitching effectively, albeit with less velocity, in 2016 (39)

Arroyo would be a good fit for a team in need to fill in a no.4 or 5 starter. 2 year contract with a third year team option with incentive based. he has never been on DL and has never missed a start. Would be better in a bigger park as he is pretty much a fly ball pitcher. Not an over powering fastball but baffles hitters with breaking balls from several arm slots and locationon on the corners. Pitches to contact so a good defense would be a plus.
