07:20 AM ET 02.03 | One and ... not done? John Mara, the New York Giants co-owner instrumental in bringing Super Bowl XLVIII to MetLife Stadium, said Sunday morning he would like the New York/New Jersey region to host the big game again. Appearing on ESPN Radio's "The Ian O'Connor Show," Mara was more definitive about the prospect of the Super Bowl returning to Broadway and East Rutherford, N.J., than he was about it landing in other cold-weather markets with outdoor stadiums. Asked if he wanted a Super Bowl sequel at MetLife, Mara said, "Based on everything that's happened so far, yes. If we can be assured that we'd get the same cooperation from all the different government entities that were involved, which has been tremendous so far, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't consider doing it again."

Just tell New Jersey to quit their crying and enjoy the financial windfall...

I thought NY/NJ did a fine job.

That's why they were crying though, they were trying to cash in on some of that windfall outside of just game dat.

And I agree, I think it went over very well, wouldn't mind another being there or DC.

They got a gift from the weather Gods. They shouldn't push their luck.

February 3, 2014  08:13 AM ET

Good Job Boys!!!!!!!

February 3, 2014  08:13 AM ET

Why are we even talking about the weather for the Super Bowl when it only affects 70 or 80 thousand people who are in the outdoor stadium to watch it ?

If this game was a week earlier, it would have been called the worst SB in history. They need to figure out a new parking/commuting plan, people passing out on trains BEFORE the game is not a good thing.

February 3, 2014  08:18 AM ET

Tickets were going for $1600 at the last minute... I think they still lost a little money.

February 3, 2014  08:33 AM ET

I love the idea of another SB in NYC/NJ. all the crying about a possible weather fiasco is overrated

My son was at the game thru his work. I'll see him Friday when stops by and shares some of his game momentos.

It was one of the worst Super Bowls ever ... reminds me of Super Bowl XXIV -- 55-10.

Funniest comment of the night was from Joe Buck when Joe Nammath came out in that ridiculous fur coat...

"Joe Nammath is probably the only man in the stadium who wishes it was colder."

It was a blowout, but I still enjoyed watching it.

*TV of course

February 3, 2014  08:53 AM ET

Met Life should be the only cold weather venue for the SB.

Was that Namath or the monkey that was trapped in the IKEA store front window?

February 3, 2014  09:02 AM ET

John Mara should shut his yap until he looks out the window this morning.

February 3, 2014  09:06 AM ET

good snowstorm in Pittsburgh today, missed the SB by one day....

February 3, 2014  09:09 AM ET

The NFL was less than 24 hours from a weather disaster. They should return to the warm weather sites and consider themselves lucky to have avoided an embarrassment this year. And I'd wish the NFL would schedule the SB on a Saturday Nite, so a nation doesn't have to drag it's tired, chicken wing & salsa dip bloated bellies to work the next morning.

Precisely. The whole "SB in NY/NJ thing" only came about because it was briefly mulled after the 911 attacks. The control-freaks at the NFL are breathing a huge sigh of relief that weather wasn't a factor, and will never, ever consider putting the SB in a cold-weather venue again.

i certainly won't argue against moving the SB to Sat...
