07:24 AM ET 02.03 | Small ball has been kind to the Nets, but there are times the downside to having Paul Pierce at power forward and Garnett at center becomes apparent. They're more athletic, for sure, but the Nets are vulnerable inside, outscored in the paint by a combined 44 points during their three-game losing streak. Coach Jason Kidd has clearly lost all faith in Reggie Evans, the NBA's most efficient rebounder last season, who has played a combined 23 minutes in the last 11 games. He's too much of a liability offensively. Kidd has given those minutes to Mirza Teletovic, who is more comfortable on the perimeter and not a good matchup against a big team such as the Pacers. But there is short-term good news for the Nets: their next opponent, the 76ers (15-33), has been tanking lately.

I don't understand why they didn't go for Bynum since Lopez is out for the season.

Three game losing streak. I thought they were supposed to be so good now?

Somebody has some 'splaining to do.

Well it all started when the Mighty Raptors came to town. Kidd took them lightly because DeRozan wasn't playing. T-Ross stepped up and gave them a smack down.

Can't put a team together over night and expect all sort of good things happening.

Half of an NBA season is not overnight.

Seriously?

Before the regular season when guys were talking about Brooklyn being a 'contender'. I was telling people otherwise. The Nets are just not a good team. They are a team of underachievers and old people.

Don't get me wrong.....I like 'old people'; but they don't serve well as the core of a NBA team.....

Because Bynum wanted to play for a contender and was demanding money. Brooklyn wasn't willing to provide either. Plus, not a good match.

Pierce and Garnett are the reason the Nets are in this mess. Age or lack of desire is hampering both...
