07:29 AM ET 02.05 | Star Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman recently told a reporter that the team's secondary had picked up on the hand signals Peyton Manning was using to during the Super Bowl -- one that perhaps not coincidentally the Broncos lost badly. Manning, the Broncos' quarterback, has been figuring out defensive tells and tendencies for years. ... Broncos coach John Fox acknowledged Tuesday the Seahawks may have been on to something but downplayed the impact the in-game intelligence Seattle may have deciphered. "You know, it looked like it," Fox said. "But I think it's more they have very good players. I don't know that there are any mystery things. I think it was more about them executing and playing very well than any other stuff."

8 points given up to that offense, they certainly knew what was coming.

now you know Mother that the only time that "C" word is ever used, regardless of the situation is a team you know so well.

This past year's two most fined teams (for drugs and PEDs) just met in the Super Bowl. Yes, cheating.

When you win like that, you can pretty much claim whatever you want. Doesn't mean it's true.

I didn't know paying attention to the other team's QB was cheating.

Fox gets it.

They got their information from the guy who signed at the Mandella funeral.

Why would you divulge this information when next season you play Denver again? So what does Omaha mean, I don't remember hearing Manning yell Omaha. Of course I lost interest half way through the 2nd quarter and didn't watch the second half.

Next thing Sherman will say is that he impersonates Manning and that he caused the errant snap at the beginning of the game by yelling out Mannings snap cadence.

I didn't say it was Steve. It was just an additional observation.

Since when is picking up on tendencies on the field considered "cheating"? What is a player supposed to do after he notices a tell like that? React the opposite way out of fairness? C'mon. Everyone just wants to find some unfair reason the Hawks crushed the Broncos. The fact is they were the far superior team out there. Fox is a wise man.

Disagree. His players just didn't execute. He never got a chance to coach. When your offensive line is as tight as a spaghetti colander, you can't exactly work your game plan. They got outplayed, not out coached.

outplayed on offense - check
outplayed on defense - check
outplayed on special teams - check

Yup..they certainly got outplayed from the first play of scrimmage to the last.

I blame the offensive coordinator.

And Denver made no adjustments or ones that didn't work at half time to change being outplayed. That is being outcoached too no matter how you look at it.
