07:30 AM ET 02.05 | Antrel Rolle may not have been on the clock as a player during Sunday's Super Bowl, but he was working. The safety said he spent the game sitting next to free-agent-to-be Jermichael Finley, the Packers' tight end, selling him on the idea of coming to New York for the 2014 season. Apparently, it wasn't a difficult pitch. "Actually, we were recruiting each other," Rolle said Tuesday night at the Thurman Munson awards dinner, where he was being honored. "He said that he would love to be a part of the Giants. Going up against this guy for a number of years now, I said I would love for him to be a part of the Giants so we don't have to face him." Tight end is one of the many areas the Giants offense will be looking to upgrade this offseason.

meh...not impressed with this guy

Wherever Finley ends up he will be playing for the Big Green in bucks and maybe wear a blue Giants uniform.

Finley wouldn't drop as many balls in NY. Their QB throws it to DBs.

I hope the contract comes with a lifetime supply of stickum.

His injury will keep most teams from going near the guy. Bad timing for him. He will not see any big contract thrown his way by anybody. Short term is in his forecast. A certain TE from NE will however.

Chances are he was gonna be coming off an injury when he hit free agency. It seems he's ALWAYS coming off an injury (or injured)

If Rolle does not restructure this last year of his contract he may not be a Giant either.

Good riddance. This guy was always "great potential" with very little realization.

You can't blame Finleys agent for not plastering his name all over the Rumor boards. Early signs of FA desperation.

How about we recruit healthy players Antrel...

The Giants signing Brandon Meyers last year was supposed to take care of the TE situation. Maybe they'll pick up another one in the middle of the draft.

Interesting that after 20 plus years with the Giants they fire their TE coach, Pope. He is now the TE coach with the Cowboys. Meyers can be released with no penalty tot he cap.
