07:33 AM ET 02.05 | For the Knicks, who lost to the Bucks this week, these are dark days, and Amar'e Stoudemire opened up Tuesday about his own situation. [Stoudemire] is tired of hearing about limits and hungry for minutes. After being relegated to the periphery of the Knicks' rotation, and having to listen to Mike Woodson repeatedly talk about medical limitations, a miffed Stoudemire set the record straight. He said it's Woodson, not the team's doctors or trainers, who is curtailing his time on the floor. "From a doctor's standpoint, there hasn't been limitations since the first week of the season. So we can't keep saying limitations, that's a coach's decision at the end of the day," said Stoudemire. "I feel great. I am ready to play. But it's up to him if he wants to play me or not."

Every player complains about minutes especially in NY.

Get Off The Sinking Ship, Bro.

Woodson has irked almost every player on the team this season. How the hell is he still employed. If losing to Bucks is not enough to let Dolan it's time to cut him lose I don't know what else will.

Keep up the good work STAT. Hopefully y'll be healthy to join a first class organization like the Heat when your contract is up.

MSG is not the place... there's too many stupid people in charge!

Ya know.. some people care about their work - not just the income that comes with it. In other words not everyone is Eddy Curry <goat>!

Not much difference. Stoudemire came to Zoo York because 29 teams refused him that max contract.

He came to NY to team up with Melo and CP3 in NY.

Melo wasn't there when Stoudemire came. Chris Paul?? How'd that work out?

wut eva

Frustration is boiling over for the Bricks.

The fact is, they took a HUGE risk with Amare, and it just didn't work out at all. 'Melo has done his thing. He was NEVER an overall player, and therefore needed pieces to do things that he can't. Plus they always needed a coach with a much broader playing scheme than just someone with "iso" ball. I said that from day one, Woody was no goody for NY.

I feel sad for Amare. They guy has really worked hard and has actually played quite well when on court. I think the coach should just give him minutes, and see what happens. If he gets hurt, oh well, not much one can do.

I'm telling you what they said their plan was. Amare made it and then Melo made it. After they said they would. CP3 couldn't bust loose and was sent to the Clippers and he eventually stayed. He probably saw that Amare was broken by then.

So yes Amare did plan to come to NY all along. Your original contention was a failure. How did that work out for you?

February 5, 2014  12:26 PM ET

I actually thought they were limitting his minutes due to fear of injury. Sounds like Woodson was trying not to break Amare when Amare wants minutes. Woodson has nothing to lose now as I just read something that the Knicks may fire him by the deadline. Let somebody be the interim and you might as well bring in Hollings/Ewing/McMillan/Stan Van Gundy etc. There are probably some other worthy assistants who could coach but Knicks usually go with established names.

Uh you are wrong about that Amare was there first in the big FA class of 2011. Knicks gambled on Amare and he was really good that year it was there first time in the playoffs in a while. Amare was actually playing at a MVP level for a few months before Melo came at the trade deadline. I wouldn't be surprised if CP3 and Melo had Amare had a plan to play together

Hey STATS, could it be that you are overpaid and on the down slide. You haven't looked like your young self for quite some time now. Own it Kid!

While that's true you gotta laud him for how hard he's worked to overcome all these injuries. There's something to be said about someone who loves what they do and put everything into it. As for Melo.. he's thinking of taking the veterans minimum to go play with Chris Paul and Griffin.. and heck I don't blame him..
