07:38 AM ET 02.05 | Is there fire where there's smoke? The Mets may be talking to Stephen Drew's agent, but there is no offer yet, a team source said Tuesday afternoon. The Mets have been in steady conversations with Drew's agent, Scott Boras, over the offseason, but nothing has reached the level of an actual offer. ... Boras is reportedly looking for a multi-year deal for Drew, who hit just .158 in the World Series, and that is a sticking point for the Mets, according to sources familiar with the team's thinking. While some industry sources have said they expect the Mets could stretch to a two-or-three year commitment to Drew eventually, the team is reluctant to go there yet. Boras, who could not be reached for comment, has been willing to take negotiations late into the offseason with his clients.

I'm surprised there's been so little interest in Drew. Maybe more players will start taking those qualifying offers when it's a fair price for a one year deal.

I was actually surprised the Cards went with Jhonny Peralta over Drew.

The Cards probably see something that several of us have missed. I was surprised by the Jhonny signing. Honestly didn't see that one coming at all. I just hope that PEDs was one time deal....

The Mets weren't interested in Drew because he simply isn't mediocre enough to don the blue and orange.

The market for him having to give a draft pick is not great, stay in Boston.

Maybe one time caught deal.I'd expect him to either still be on them, or to suck. The good news is, he can get hooked up with Molina's PED source and get the better, undetectable stuff.

Yes - yes you did..... and the sad thing - you may be right......
