07:48 AM ET 02.05 | As the Olympic break was drawing near, players headed to the Games were finding it harder and harder to escape the thoughts. "It starts to creep up in your mind the closer you get, I think the main thing is to make sure your game is in order, and you're playing well -- and make sure you're ready that way," [Sidney Crosby] said. The Penguins are sending seven players to various Olympic hockey rosters. ... Don't expect Ryan to tune into Team USA's hockey games in Sochi. After being left off the Olympic roster, [winger Bobby Ryan] is headed to a European destination for some rest. "Where I'm going there won't be a whole lot of coverage on the hockey," Ryan said. "I'll check in on the internet, but that's about it."

He ain't gonna watch? Ooooooh! We're soooo disappointed!

It's okay Bobby, I don't think I'll be able to watch either.

Will NHL Network, NBC etc. carry Canada games in the USA, specifically Florida?

Agreed , a mantra of "no comment" would be a good one for him to adopt at this point

I'm "guessing" NBCSN will have the lions' share of hockey...

Agreed. Its also the last time a Leaf won anything.

I don't see his comment as being whiny. He's going to use the break to decompress. He's going to some "European destination" where they probably don't care about the Winter Olympics, maybe Ibiza or something. He said he'd check on the net for scores, so it's not like he's just going to ignore the whole thing.

What are you some sort of voice of moderation? No one wants to hear the reasonable side of things, they want to run down anyone they can for any sort of provocation.

I agree with you though and that's what I thought when I first read the article.

NBC, NBC Sports Network, USA Network, MSNBC and CNBC according to the newspaper out here. I still get the paper I have to line the cage with something:)

Good on ya Ryan! I wouldn't either if I was American! Lol!

Don't blame the guy at all, but he isn't about to spell intense when it comes to the U.S team! Lmao!

He certainly hasn't made any statement on the ice, since being left off the Olympic team. If that doesn't motivate him....what does?
