07:21 AM ET 02.06 | Were the Super Bowl a few days earlier or later this year, the weather would have served up a sub-ideal forecast, but that hasn't stopped northern cities from asking the NFL to roll the dice again. And now that Super Bowl XLVIII went off without a hitch (well, almost) at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, you can expect that the Eagles' desire to host the big game will only intensify. Speaking with CSN's Derrick Gunn on Tuesday, Eagles president Don Smolenski said he believes Philadelphia would be a perfect fit for a Super Bowl and plans to bring it up in May at the spring owners meetings. "I think Philadelphia has so much to offer in and of itself, as a city and as a region, that it would be a great host city," Smolenski said.

They couldn't scrub that city enough to make it Super Bowl shiny. It's cleaner than New Orleans but not by much. Difference is NO is a place for happy drunks.

But you gotta admit there is a distinct 'scent' as you walk down Bourbon Street.

Philly isn't even I the top 10 in murders per capita in the US. Other host cities are well above Philly like New Orleans, Indy, Detroit, Dallas and Miami. Dope.

I'm all for it, if they could ensure a Dallas-Pittsburgh SB. I'm sure the locals would embrace that.
