07:32 AM ET 02.06 | In this case, Chicago seems to be leaning toward taking a pass. The Cubs were among several teams scouting Korean free-agent pitcher Suk-Min Yoon in Arizona this week, but are unlikely to get into a bidding war for his services. Yoon threw a bullpen session for the Cubs and Rangers on Tuesday, according to mlb.com. The 27-year-old right-hander has drawn interest from teams looking for rotation help, but reportedly is seeking a multi-year contract out of the Cubs' range. Yoon was his league's Most Valuable Player in 2011, but was 3-6 with a 4.00 earned-run average in 30 games last year, including 11 starts. The Cubs have yet to announce the signing of free agent Jason Hammel, who agreed to a one-year, $6 million deal and is expected to become the No. 4 starter in the rotation.

Good luck with Hammel

Lets see now? Hammel is weth 6 million a year, Cleveland offered Masterson 8.5 milllon and he wants 11.3 million. Ervin Santana wants a 3 year 80M or 26 million plus a year. Why sure, any self respecting GM would not question this logic! How could the Blue Jays resist?
