04:52 PM ET 02.07 | The Charlotte Bobcats are going to be buyers at the trade deadline for once, something that has the fanbase excited and others around the league interested in what the teams will decide to do. Charlotte is already tipping their hand as to who they want to involve in a trade, as names on their current roster are starting to get floated around now that the team will no doubt be active at the deadline. Ben Gordon is one of the better trade chips the team has, and Alex Kennedy from Basketball Insiders reports that the team has been actively shopping him and are even willing to consider giving up a first-round pick to acquire a decent veteran in return.

The G.O.A.T. needs to flex his muscle and get an all-star caliber baller in free agency. His current roster is cluttered with role players who wouldn't start on any contenders. Al Jefferson is the only exception.

Didn't Michael Jordan trade Stephen Jackson AND Gerald Wallace years ago because he didn't want the team to be a 7-8 seed?

What has changed, Michael?

Gordon, Sessions, Haywood, Adrien & Tolliver to the Knicks for Stoudemire, Shumpert, Felton, Aldrich and Udrih.

I don't think the Bobcats will trade their draft pick. But they have the Blazers first round pick this year because of the Gerald Wallace trade. Also I think they have Detroit's first round pick. But it's lottery protected up to the 10th pick.
