10:45 AM ET 02.08 | Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin recently joined Yahoo! Sports Radio to talk about the program. Here are some highlights: On Texas coach Charlie Strong calling Texas A&M a gadget program: "I guess based on today we better get some more gadgets at our place then. I'm not going to get caught up in that. It's working for us. We're not going to change. And if anything, maybe we just need to step it up a notch in that area. I think players and prospects understand the direction we're headed and how we're doing things. As great a job as our assistant coaches did this year, as well as we're recruiting -- the reality is, we're still third in our own division behind LSU and Alabama. That's where our focus is. That's where we want to be, to try to compete for championships."

If Charlie Strong thinks a helicopter that helps coaches get to multiple games in Houston or Dallas in order to recruit players is a gadget, then Charlie should consider geting a gadget.

I like Sumlin's attitude. Who really cares what Strong says? Slow day + big mouth = pseudo-headline.

Addendum: Rex Tillerson's jet is faster, but you can't park it next to the stadium for the swag effect.

I'll be darned, they moved Auburn to the East division. Good. The West will take Kentucky in exchange.

sssshhhhhhh if he says 3rd enough times it will be true. 4-4 in conference, 4th in division and 7th overall tied with Vanderbilt. But yeah they are great.

Offseason. Only 7 months to go.

In the recruiting ranking aTm was 3rd behind LSU and Alabama in the Western Division of the SEC.

I enjoy the smack from Texas & A&M. Just wish they still played their annual Turkey day game.

I'm hoping in a few years, when cooler heads prevail, they can start it up again.

OOC scheduling policy in the Big12 is a barrier right now ... November games are in the middle of conference play for every team in the Big12. Putting an OOC game there would require a consensus vote. What are the odds?

But the Big12 has a different commish now, UTx has a new AD, A&M has a new prez and AD ... I hope these guys can find a way to get this game back on the docket.

As an outsider looking in, it seems the break in the series favors UT as TA&M's program is on the rise and would have been favored the last two years.
