Will D.J. Augustin re-sign with Bulls?

10:42 AM ET 02.08 | The failure of the Marquis Teague experiment has yet to affect the Bulls. The impact is coming this summer, though. After drafting Teague in 2012 to be the backup point guard to Derrick Rose, the Bulls traded him last month. With Rose injured, that has left them with Kirk Hinrich and D.J. Augustin, both of whom will be eligible for free agency this offseason. The good news is Augustin wants to return and seems ready to give the Bulls a bit of a discount, considering they took him off the unemployment line in December after he was waived by the Toronto Raptors and helped him resurrect his career.

He'll be making more than they could afford to give him if they Amnesty Boozer and go after a high-profile free agent.

Augustin would be silly to take a discount considering he's 26, smack dab in the middle of his prime playing days.

Will They Make You An Offer You Can't Refuse, Bro?

The question is will they resign him!
They didn't resign Ben Gordon , still don't know why Hinrich is in love with this team & they didn't resign Nate so I doubt they even make DJ an offer. Bulls management is clueless!

Nothing wrong w/ taking a discount and making your stock go higher. It will pay off later because he is still young.

Don't forget Deng also.

Sign d.j. 4 the minimum cuz he's not worth the big bucks. Especially after messing up the pacers in the eastern finals.

Augustine has played way beyond expectations for the Bulls.

He's an excellent option as a #2 PG......and the Bulls should absolutely sign him on for the next couple or three years!

Gordon doesn't play D and won't pass the ball. Nate Robinson wanted more money than the Bulls could offer. Hinrich was brought back to play a specific role as a defensive specialist and was not expected to log the minutes he has to due to Rose's injury and Teague's failure to develop.Rose's injuries have been the reason the Bulls have not made a run at a championship and you can't blame management for that unless you're clueless.

And what have Ben Gordon and Nate Robinson accomplished with their new teams? The Bulls made the right choice letting them go. Gordon has averaged 11ppg and 5.4 ppg this season to go along with his 1 apg since leaving the Bulls for $12m/year. Nate is done for the year after tearing his ACL.
