07:46 AM ET 02.10 | In a matter of hours, Roberto Luongo will have gone from a struggling team to one expected to rank among best in the world. As a result, watching his goalie equipment being packed away in three spiffy red-white-and-black Team Canada leather hockey bags must have come as a welcome sight for Luongo, whose focus now shifts on helping his country defend its Olympic title. Will he be the starter? The gut feeling of those close to Team Canada is that the Montreal Canadiens' Carey Price is more likely to get the nod, although there is a school of thought that these two will split Canada's first two games in order for coach Mike Babcock to determine who has the hot hand. Despite having lost five consecutive games, Luongo can hardly be blamed for all of the Canucks' woes these days.

I watched men's downhill and ski jump.

Hi-Def really brings out the "goosebump" moments in those two events. How those dudes have the courage to do those things baffles me. Amazing stuff.

And ... I watched Women's Skating. Hi-Def rally brings out all the right bumps, nooks and crannies in those chicks. How they have the courage to wear so little, doesn't concern me much. Amazing stuff. :-)

Man, it just seems weird that Canada cant find that number one with all the talent that comes out of there while Finland has a gold mine of goalie talent at their disposal. Used to be you'd just pencil in Roy and then later Brodeur and Luongo and that was it. I think they are going to be the team to beat though anyways.
