Van Pelt wants this QB back

07:20 AM ET 02.12 | Perhaps after becoming somewhat accustomed to bouncing around the league, Matt Flynn can land an opportunity to start for a team. But as much as he helped save the Green Bay Packers' season, that's no sure thing. If he doesn't, the guy who'd be his new quarterbacks coach in Green Bay, Alex Van Pelt, would love to have the unrestricted free agent back as Aaron Rodgers' backup. Although the Packers like the potential of Scott Tolzien, who is under contract for 2014 and started two games after injuries to Rodgers and veteran Seneca Wallace, Van Pelt -- a former backup quarterback in the NFL himself -- really liked what he saw from Flynn, who went 2-2 as the starter and had four fourth-quarter rallies in the five games he played.

Our man Flynn is back!!!!

I doubt that is a problem, because other teams apparently don't want him.

Know your role, dude... and - you've found it.

I thought his role was to make the team's other quarterbacks look good by comparison.

Oh, wait....

If that were true he would have made his way to the Jets by now. HA!!

Good things come to those who wait...behind number one.

Flynns got the Tebow gene.
Throwing the game seemingly away in the first thre quarters; Only to march right back in the 4th to the horror and demise of many Cowboys fans across the world.

Good enough to almost be an NFL starter. But not quite. Get fitted for that clipboard and cap, Matt, you've got one of the cushiest rides in the NFL ahead of you.

He's had a good monetary career, time to settle in for long term job security.

They say that the back up quarterback is the most popular man on the team. Getting serious cash to play a few games in August and maybe some mop up work is a sweet job.

Horses for courses. He seems to do Ok in Green Bay and pretty much stunk it up everywhere else.
