Bylsma has secretly settled on a goalie

07:36 AM ET 02.12 | Thursday is coming, and Dan Bylsma is keeping his decision of whether to start Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres or Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings under wraps. My working theory on the U.S. goaltending situation has been that Quick made more sense as the starter. He's a goalie that can take over a tournament when he's one, becoming impenetrable. But more to the point, Miller is a better fallback position should the U.S falter in the prelims. ... I asked Bylsma about that theory. "A lot of things go into the decision: Past success, injury, where they're at right now," he said. "But I don't think you base that decision on it not going well." So Miller, right? Know this: If the choice is Ryan Miller, then it's Ryan Miller until he plays himself out of the job.

As much as I slag Limpic hockey for being the love-in that it is, at least it's a real sport.

10 Freestyle skiing events??? Huh?

10 snowboarding events???? Huh wuh?

Team figure skating? Ice capades?

8 short track speed skating events? Put in for Asians and Quebecois...

Higher, faster, farther, more.

I don't think it's important. Although I DID enjoy the curling. Too bad the US is still several decades away from being competitive. At my age I need a slower sport to watch...............like curling or checkers.

The time zone thing is killing it. And everytime I turn it on it's some X Games thing which has zero appeal to me.

The snowboard and ski "slopestyle" events have been fantastic. The Gals were so good , i cannot imagine the mens version. I really look forward to that.

I did see a few clips on the news earlier and it does look good.....scary too. I really haven't seen much of the games so far although I do plan to watch some of the hockey at least. Kind of funny that it's so warm over there. Global warming might be real, but not here or in most of Canada I see.

The slopestylers have mad crazy balance and acrobatic skills. They also take some of the nastiest wipe outs around ; split helmets, broken jaws etc.
