Team Canada's biggest weakness

07:37 AM ET 02.12 | Entering game action in Sochi, few are willing to pick against the depth and talent of the Canadians, which isn't to say all questions are answered for a country that seemingly has the capability of fielding two rosters of Olympians. You cannot find a human -- analyst, fan or otherwise -- who will say Team Canada's biggest concern is at forward or on defence. To a person, we all believe Canada's greatest weakness is in net. And yet three separate Canadian goaltenders lead the NHL in the three major goaltending categories as we break for Sochi. Marc-Andre Fleury leads all goalies in wins (31), Josh Harding has the best GAA (1.65), and Ben Scrivens has the stingiest save percentage (.937). None of these men, of course, are on the national team.

Here we go, the incessant stories in the Canadian sports media centered on the men's hockey team and more specifically, the goaltending. It's telling that the three named in this excerpt aren't on the team. The only way the country doesn't go through 4 years of self-flagellation is to just win the da*n gold medal on the 23rd.

Did they put Ben Scrivens name in as a joke?

Their biggest weakness is not playing on home ice.

Well, no, but they put that pic of Lou up for a reason though.

I think their other biggest weakness is that Stamkos is not on this team. Talk about bad timing, not that there is ever a good time to break your leg.

Wow , i did not realize Harding was sporting that kind of a G.A.A. . As long as Lou stays on the bench after his one courtesy start in game 1 or 2 we will be okay.

Huge Harding fan. I was hoping he'd sneak in as the third goalie for Team Canada. Alas, a longshot and rightfully so with his struggles in finding the right treatment balance for his MS. Im hoping he can continue to get well during the time off though and finish up strong. he's got a lot of heart that kid.

When Carey Price is our weakest link, I think we are in pretty good shape.
