10:15 AM ET 02.12 | After a wild Tuesday in the Cleveland Browns front office, it looks like they are finally making moves to better the team on the field. We may never understand what is going on upstairs with the organization, but at least their heads seem to be in the right place when it comes to locking up their best defensive player. According to reports, the Browns are looking to extend star cornerback Joe Haden and they began talking with his representation yesterday after their front office moves.

The only good thing about the Browns is Haden, everything else is waste.

Cleveland. Same crap, different day.

We need more Browns articles. And maybe more cowbell?

It would be best to say no thanks and let the contract run out.

They have an explosive young WR in Josh Gordon and a very productive pass catching TE in Jordan Cameron.

With all the Browns stories today, the FN mods have really shat their pants.

Spoken like a TRUE MORON!! Browns have plenty of talent, the problems is no cohesiveness because of the constant changing of coaches and no QB. If they can stick with someone long enough to let a system take place they have players. Hopefully they will get a good QB in the draft and Hoyer will be able to return. But your comment in general is of COMPLETE IGNORANCE!

I see what you did there...

The Browns have talent, which makes it all the more frustrating to watch them. Hope Haslam gives his new front office team a chance to develop a consistent program

Joe Thomas also

Oh Cleveland, when will it all end?

Hadens really proved himself since the draft. I remember a lot of people not very pleased with his high 4.5 second 40 yard dash time and the Browns took the chance on him. So far they've been rewarded but it's hard to imagine anybody staying longterm on the Browns roster that isn't also advertising themselves when speaking of the franchise (Jim Brown).

He's overlooked b/c of the team's record, but man, Haden is impressive CB.

I do wonder if the Browns staff turmoil and lack of winning seasons is enough to making pass an extension in order to be a free agent and sign elsewhere.

He has trouble against more agile recivers but it's rare in todays age of 6-5 recievers that are 220 pounds to find agile ones that line up outside. Antonio Brown showed Haden has weakness' in his game but overrall he's still a top 20-25 corner in the NFL.
There is zero optimism in a Browns organization in turmoil at this point. I'd look for Haden to sign elsewhere if he wants a championship.
Unles all the Browns' players haven't been watching the news and are texting eachother ideas for the Super Bowl.

Browns do have the cap space to over pay on him though.
