The Eagles, who were last in the NFL in turnovers created in 2007, are expected to pursue Asante Samuel in free agency. If they land him, it could open the door for trade talks between the Patriots and Eagles on cornerback Lito Sheppard.

What would be the point of that?

didnt we knows this yesterday?

Sheppard contract would make him more suitable in the future than a super $50-million dollar contract to an older Samuel.

Yawn - Rainy day, sleep away.........Scuse me while I kiss the sky. (no comment in other words)

The point of this would be the Patriots get a solid corner that can't stay on the field for any decent length of time. The Eagles would sign a corner who is demanding more than he's truly worth.

I'm just surprised noone is screaming for Dallas to sign him.

February 26, 2008  08:26 AM ET

Give up Sheppard and over-pay for Samuel? This is crazy. The Eagles should be going after a big offensive player so Westbrook can stop carrying the entire team.

FOUR!

Dallas Cowboy fans will be happy to see Lito Sheppard leave the NFC East. He seems to get at least one INT every time these two teams play.

Gee, why not just keep Lito instead of shelling out big-time $$ for a corner that may or may not be great on another team. I know, maybe it's just me.

In frustration? or fear?

Certainly not fear. Think of it as a primal scream.
