07:41 AM ET 02.14 | If Max Wittek lands at Texas, it may be at the expense of Virginia Tech. [Wittek] plans to visit Texas this weekend, according to the AP, although he's been in contact with Virginia Tech, Louisville, Hawaii and TCU. ... Although Wittek hasn't produced much in college, he was a four-star prospect coming out of Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, Calif., in 2011. Rivals listed him the No. 3 pro-style passer nationally that year, behind Jeff Driskel (Florida) and his eventual teammate Kessler. He had a load of offers, including Clemson, Florida State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, UCLA and Florida. He visited a Florida practice in April of 2010, according to Rivals. The Gators' quarterback coach at the time was Scot Loeffler, who is currently the Hokies' offensive coordinator.

Meh. He doesn't bring all the drama with him that Tater did.

He is not "special" in the Sarkisian sense - or come to think of it, any sense of the word. What's the big whoop here?

If those were the top 3 QBs that year in HS, there was a lot left to be desired....

Same class as Hundley, Bridgewater, Mettenberg and Braxton Miller

And, being the homer I am, Wittek and Kessler were both rated below Ash by 247sports that year...

TCU hired Sonny Cumbie away from his alma mater Texas Tech this spring. From what I understand, QBs really like playing for him.

Maybe this hire will put some pop into TCU's competitiveness in the Big12-2.

They have put way too much pressure on their defense to win games. Their offense has sucked for a good while so this can't hurt any.

What master's degree program does WVU offer that USC doesn't? Isn't that a stipulation in the graduate transfer extended eligibility rule?
