02:44 PM ET 02.14 | The NBA All-Star Game signals the halfway point of the season and it gives players around the league a short break from all the action. Of course, the players who are participating in All-Star events don't get much of a break, but the weekend is generally light and breezy when it comes to the work load. But some think the break is too short and want to extend it a little longer. Adam Silver discussed this and noted that he'd think about extending the break if he thought it helped the players and the league.

...and if he thought it'd make more money for the league. :-)

he'd be better off abolishing all star weekend and shortening the season

QUOTE(#4):

No chance of that happening. There's too much tradition, fan interest, desire for different cities to showcase themselves by hosting it, and $$.

I guess but the game and the whole weekend is basically a joke, it's weekend for celebrities to show off that's it and if there was a shortened season by 15-20 games it would be a lot more competitive in my opinion but I guess that would also result in less money made
