08:47 AM ET 02.15 | Talk to Carmelo Anthony and it quickly becomes clear he loves being a Knick. He loves New York, he loves playing in Madison Square Garden, he loves Spike Lee, he loves everything about the experience. He also wants to win an NBA title. Are those two things compatible? However, Anthony sounds like a guy giving the Knicks the benefit of the doubt. He doesn't want to go. He just wants to see a real plan in place. "At the end of the day that's my first priority, to stay," Anthony said while meeting with the media in New Orleans Friday. "That's my first priority. My priority is to figure it out, let's figure it out together. "My priority is not to just because I say I want to be a free agent, is to go leave. I never was a guy that comes into a situation and basically when it's not going well to leave like that. That's not my personality."

Plan?

to quote the joker from the dark knight

" Do I look like a man with a plan?"

of course I'd change a couple words around.....

" Do the knicks look like an organization with a plan" ???

- not sure what he thinks will change/happen- this organization has had the same MO for the last decade.....bring in aging stars or guys with bad contracts that other teams don't want-
that is the way its been run-
He's already been there 3 years- has he not been watching ?

If winning is a priority, he should get as far away from the Bricks as possible.

semantically speaking-
I don't think he's selfish- rather stubborn

he doesn't understand that the iso system that he's partial to is not a winning system- yet he refuses to allow the team to change systems (granted the coach doesn't know anything about offense)

The plan was to sign JR Smith to a long term contract than sign all the soon to be retired player on their team. Great plan.

The Knicks plan is to go nowhere for this season and next, and then rebuild over the next 3 seasons. Somewhere in that time frame, Melo will leave if he wants a ring.

exactly-
they keep digging themselves into a corner, then they take 2-3 year to dig themselves out, then make the same bad choices and re-dig themselves back into a hole.....

Change the owner, now that is a plan worth to pursue.

Again, agreed.

Carmelo's style is better suited on NBA 2K14. Not in professional basketball.

Carmelo Anthony has yet to figure out what Kobe did, which allowed him to alter his game somewhat and win some post-Shaq championships.

Melo said it best, showing loyalty 2 n.y. but I think Dolan doesn't deserve it. He's the reason this team is struggling now. We'd have gallo,Chandler , mozgov & Felton . All we needed was a new & better coach than d'antoni. Gm Walsh was the best thing 4 the Knicks (under the cap, player or 2 away from championship team, star players etc.).

Not to shabby having a Pau Gasol in his prime and a healthy Bynum too. I'd like to see Melo move to Houston and play with DH12 and The Beard.
