10:57 AM ET 02.15 | The University of Minnesota is ready to make beer and wine sales a permanent fixture at Gopher football games. After a two-year experiment, university officials found "no significant increase" in alcohol-related incidents at TCF Bank Stadium, according to a report this week to the Board of Regents. In fact, there were fewer police calls about rowdy or drunken fans in 2013 than in 2010, two years before the on-site beer and wine sales began. "It really has not been the problem that some might have expected it would be," Vice President Pamela Wheelock said. University officials, who had once resisted the idea of alcohol sales because of concerns about student drinking, now say that they want to continue the sales after the pilot project expires in July. The plan would require legislative approval.

What's annoying are the ushers running around the stands trying to detain people who bend this stupid rule.
We are not in a courtroom we are in a stadium and its time to get loud and obnoxious.

Yes, because making money is evil.

Got to try something new to boost attendance which pays the bills.

bluesuiter isn't on his game today. He is making even more silly remarks than usual. It must be too cold for him in his trailer, there in Morgantown.

I used to work security for BC football games, and I never tossed anyone over drinking. It's always the result of drinking, not the act. If some drunk 18 year old decides he's going to run around the stands and piss people off, we boot them before someone beats their (butt.) only once did I confront anyone about drinking, and it was because some dope was drinking a beer out of a glove. I told him not to insult us and be a little more subtle.

Given that beet red face on jerry Kill it's obvious that Kill is nipping alot. Kill is probably passing out because Kill is drunk from the look of that cherry bright red alcoholic face.

Keeping it classy.

From what I read, losing money the first year was a direct result if government cost for oversight, bids, etc.

It's Minnesota. They haven't found a way to keep red tape out of anything. Mark Dayton is more of a nanny than a governor. Hence I left the state.

I appreciate the props, DS, but the only thing that keeps me afloat are the occasional million-dollar-bill infusions from FF. Those Tnerb fivers just don't cut it, no matter how many he prints -- errr, I meant pays with.
